SCOPE OF POSITION
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export Department.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and ensure a smooth process flow and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Deliver creative cargo routing solutions to customers and colleagues
- Work both independently and collaboratively to problem solve unique business challenges. Escalate problems to Management when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally
- Effectively communicate (internally and externally) and provide timely responses to emails and requests
- Review documentation for compliance with international trade regulations
- Prepare and process international documentation
- Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations
- Track and Trace Ocean Export Files and reporting
- Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the SOPs
- Invoice customers accurately and timely, for services provided
