SCOPE OF POSITION

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export Department.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and ensure a smooth process flow and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Deliver creative cargo routing solutions to customers and colleagues
• Work both independently and collaboratively to problem solve unique business challenges. Escalate problems to Management when necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally
• Effectively communicate (internally and externally) and provide timely responses to emails and requests
• Review documentation for compliance with international trade regulations
• Prepare and process international documentation
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations
• Track and Trace Ocean Export Files and reporting
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the SOPs
•  Invoice customers accurately and timely, for services provided

Qualifications

• 2 years Ocean Export/Industry experience preferred
• Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend,
• Effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to adapt to changes
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Process oriented
