Essential Functions: As a member of the Accounting team at Frontier, the Accounting Intern will assist in the following: Delivery of timely and accurate revenue and expense results for month-end close financial reporting Investigation of variances in month-end analytics Completion of balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner Post monthly accruals based on GAAP guidelines for company revenue and expenses Conduct ad-hoc projects, reports and financial analyses as determined by senior management Requirements Must be available to work part-time or full-time for 4 months Must be currently pursuing an Accounting degree Preference given to candidates that have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate-level coursework or to those enrolled in a graduate program Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills Strong attention to detail and ability to take individual problems and combine to form a larger solution Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills Demonstrated understanding of basic economic, financial and accounting principles Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Disclaimer: The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature and level of work required of the referenced position; they are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals in this position.
