To help us share Fullstacks success with the world and find the best bootcamp students, were looking for a Part-Time Cybersecurity Instructor to help transform the lives of our students, and through them, their communities and economies.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As an Instructor for Fullstacks cybersecurity bootcamp at one of our University partners, you will scale your impact as an infosec professional by training the next generation of white-hat hackers. Youll work with a passionate team of instructors and teaching assistants to train a class of highly-motivated students in an immersive, bootcamp environment. Youll facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community, guiding students through development of stellar projects and PoC's, getting students ready to step immediately into infosec jobs in companies and government service after graduating.

    This is a FULL-TIME, REMOTE position and reports to the University Program Director, with a dotted-line to our NYC Cyber Academics Team. Classes are delivered remotely during the day on Eastern time, from 9am-6pm EST.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    In this role, you will

    • Lead instruction on cyber security topics, activity-based learning workshops, and large team competition activities
    • Work with students 1-on-1, in pairs and in groups to support their learning and growth in the program
    • Create a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment and culture for our students
    • Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community, guiding students through development of stellar projects and Proof of Concepts
    • Help iterate on our curriculum over time based on student achievement data, feedback from students and employer partners, and evolving trends in the industry
    • Keep up to date on relevant trends in the cyber security field, including (for example) attending conferences like DEFCON (to network with other people in the infosec community), building your skills, and participating in CTF challenges
    • Mentor Instructional Associates with professional development and technical project management

    QUALIFICATIONS

    You are a great candidate if you have:

    • A Bachelors Degree (required to satisfy New York State regulatory requirements for a Cybersecurity instructor)
    • 2+ years of cybersecurity work experience as a Security Analyst, Threat Researcher, Penetration Tester, Cybersecurity Engineer, or similar role
    • Certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, CEH, CySA+, etc.
    • Professional proficiency with the core technologies of Cybersecurity: Python, Network Engineering, Security Analysis, Cloud Security (AWS/Azure/GCP),
    • 1+ years of experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring on technical concepts
    • Exceptional and engaging presentation skills - particularly when it comes to complex technical information
    • The ability to distill complex technical topics into beginner-friendly concepts
    • A desire to work in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ownership and independence
    • A passion for the cyber security industry and a desire to be part of growing the careers of a diverse new generation of cyber security professionals
    • Experience with problem solving, scripting, or software development

    You are an exceptional candidate for this role if you also have:

    • Advanced Cybersecurity certifications (such as OSCP, CISSP, GPEN, etc.)
