JOB SUMMARY:
The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support for the marketing department through a variety of channels: digital, web, photography and others as assigned. The Graphic Design intern will report to the Graphic Design Manager and will assist with design support for internal communications, help with the development and design of core J.B. Hunt graphics, logos, collateral, event materials, etc. and assist with a variety of other creative tasks. The intern may also be assigned various PowerPoint graphic updates.

THE GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN’S PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Think creatively and construct new graphics and layouts
Assist with collateral updates
Maintain brand standards
Develop graphics and visuals for marketing campaigns
Design and create finished promotional advertisements (online, print, email, etc.)
Collaborate and brainstorm with others in the marketing department
Actively work with marketing and sales campaigns
Assist with photo production (shoot assisting, editing, etc.)
Perform within marketing and business related budgets
Create social media graphics
Prepare images to coincide with social and blog posts
Source and prepare support imagery
Organize and maintain large photo library
Other projects as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Junior, senior or graduate-level student with an emphasis in visual communication, graphic design or related field of study
Must be proficient in basic design programs in the Adobe Creative Suite- Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
Writing and proofing skills are preferred
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
Ability to self-lead and take initiative
Able to work well under pressure
Organized, dependable and detail oriented
