  • Responsibilities

    The Hospital based, ED Diversion Clinician (or Mobile Integrated Health Clinician (MIH) Clinician) will be embedded in the South Shore Health Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program and will provide comprehensive emergency mental health and substance abuse services to individuals and families served by the MIH program. This clinician will provide increased access to crisis services and proactive community response, especially for vulnerable populations, through co-response to community and home visits. The MIH Clinician schedule initially will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. The MIH Clinician will be based at South Shore Health in Weymouth and will attend regular supervision and team meetings at Aspire Health Alliance offices.

    Required Skills

    • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

     

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of one-year post-master’s experience in a crisis intervention, homeless outreach, or forensic mental health setting.
    • Experience in assessing adults in crisis as well as competency in assessing children and their families in crisis.
    • Demonstrated experience in working connecting with diverse systems and various client populations.
    • Experience in assessing adults and families for substance use disorders.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.
    • Master’s degree in counseling, social work or related filed required.
    • Clinical License preferred.
