Human Resources Internship - Talent Acquisition, Fall 2022
JOB SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Intern will be responsible for a broad range of tasks supporting the recruitment team. This will include coordination of efforts for the entire life cycle of recruitment including sourcing, interview scheduling, pre-hire onboarding, and more. This intern will participate in strategic TA projects and will be assigned their own project to complete utilizing the resources and knowledge they’ve gained during their internship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn the basic framework of full-cycle recruiting
Learn Talent Acquisition systems, Workday, LinkedIn, Indeed
Shadow a set full-lifecycle recruiters to learn 'how to recruit and hire' for specific positions
Shadow a set of Recruiting Coordinators to learn the pre-hire onboarding process
Learn our different business segments and support groups to better understand J.B. Hunt
Understand employer branding and our product and distinction and value to attract and retain talent
Participate in strategic pillar projects across all of TA
Gain an understanding of how Talent Acquisition works with other COE's and HR Partners to support the business
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Gain a broader understanding of how to attract talent to J.B. Hunt
Demonstrate a full understanding of a recruiter and recruiting coordinator job responsibilities are by end of the internship
Develop an understanding of talent market intelligence and how it applies to the broader organization
Deliver presentation and findings of assigned Talent Acquisition project to Human Resources Leadership
Understand the process steps to hire a candidate
Learn about how Talent Acquisition interacts with other HR COE's and HR Partners
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Some experience in an office environment preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and resume databases
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
