    Job Description

    Perform Pricing Analyst duties for Ocean & Air Cargo Pricing with Vision, leadership, energy, professionalism and support, in conjunction with the Pricing manager.

    Maintain adherence to Expeditors’ policies and procedures while displaying and communicating Expeditors’ goals and culture.

    __**Major Duties and Responsibilities: **

    • Communicate with sales and build strategy.
    • Perform data analysis.
    • Identify opportunities and challenges
    • Manage the product pricing for RFQs (Request for Quotes).
    • Manage and meet deadlines set by customers and Sales/Geo on responding to pricing requests.
    • Work with Pricing Manger /Sales/Geo staff to properly qualify bids.
    • Track and report the results of RFQs.

    _ RFQ Execution:_

    • Convert customer formats.
    • Insert / integrate targeted pricing.
    • Communicate to the field.
    • Manage responses.
    • Audit responses and make cohesive.
    • Maintain communication per Document Retention Policy (DRP).
    • Update RFQ capture in a timely manner.
    • Maintain RFQ/Pricing tools.

    _ Analysis of Rates:_

    • Review and analyze carrier rates.
    • Review feedback from Sales/Geo on rate competitiveness.
    • Report results of analysis to Pricing Manager & Ocean & Air Product Managers.
    • In conjunction with pricing managers, work with carriers to keep rates fresh and competitive. ****

    Rate & Surcharge Maintenance:

    • Maintain rate databases.
    • Maintain and distribute General Rate Increase (GRI) and surcharge information.
    • Maintain diary system to flag expiring rate agreements and contracts.

    _ General Support:_

    • Provide general support for Sales and Product pricing.
    • Provide other general pricing support as specified by the Ocean & Air Managers.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Ocean & Air Cargo knowledge, with thorough understanding of pricing; processes and operations.
    • 2+ year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects, working well under pressure.
    • Graduate or actively involved in relevant studies.
    • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
    • Pro-active, strong organizational skills, detail oriented.
    • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
