The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing Human Resources related leadership and service to the team members working in TA Service’s steel mill logistics operations service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Championing and advancing TA Service’s values and culture by role modeling appropriate behaviors and maintaining one’s own engagement.
Ensuring every team member receives excellent service from HR, displaying kindness at the time the individual contacts HR, maintaining confidentiality, providing timely and accurate information, and quickly following-through on team member requests.
Partnering with leaders and managers to ensure success through effective talent acquisition, professional development, and deployment of human capital.
Works closely with Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire individuals with the right attitudes and skills to excel in the position and succeed within the desired culture.
Leads and coordinates the TA Services new hire orientation, ensuring each new team member knows and understands their role in advancing the desired culture and how their position contributes to the success of their department and TA Services overall.
Oversees the facility performance management program for their assigned locations, ensuring every team member receives an evaluation as scheduled.
Leading employee relations investigations and using appropriate levels of disciplinary action based on TA Services policy and precedent.
In conjunction with each site’s leadership - plan, coordinate, and implement fun, morale building activities for team members.
Calculate and maintain assigned metrics, updating the shared HR metrics dashboard as needed.
Volunteering for and participating on special projects teams whether corporate-wide or within Mills Services or another assigned location. This may include rolling out and presenting to team members for training and development initiatives.
Oversee retention and maintenance of HR files and other related files such as medical files and I9’s.
Qualifications
Have a high-level of self-awareness and the ability to self-assess job performance and work to develop their own capabilities and attitudes.
Have a minimum of seven years’ experience working in an HR role in a steel manufacturing setting.
Have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or another focus area that prepared the individual for an advanced role in Human Resources.
Have the capability to help direct-reports develop professionally and prepare for positions with higher levels of responsibility.
Have the ability to organize an HR department based on the needs of internal customers, workflow, and other factors.
