    JET Intern Finance (Fleet Strategy & Analysis Part-Time) JetBlue Airways Corporation 679 reviews - Long Island City, NY Part-time, Internship The JetBlue Emerging Talent (JET) internship program provides skill & professional development through participation in the developing real-world business solutions that support the delivery of strategic business initiatives. Throughout the program, interns participate in a robust programming including professional development activities, cross-functional projects, senior leader exposure, networking, and community service. The JET Program provides interns the opportunity to immerse themselves into the aviation industry while developing specific career interest or areas of study. The team is responsible for the analysis, recommendations and execution of fleet related transactions including aircraft and engine purchases, sales, and leases. Essential Responsibilities * Supportday-to-day fleet management, including maintaining fleet database, updating corporate fleet SharePoint, preparing/distributingmonthly fleet reporting files, responding to ad-hoc fleet inquiries * Prepare weekly Fleet Governance agendas and presentations, andsupport on-going fleet strategy projects * Provide assistance in analyzing and determining optimal fleet acquisition and disposal timelines * Support the assigned team and JetBlue business units with data analysis and recommendations * Conduct market research, monitor market trends, and build reporting tools to inform senior leadership of current state of aircraft market * Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications * Results-oriented, forward-thinking, confident undergraduates and graduates with a required cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better * Strong financial modeling skills * Strong PowerPoint skills to translate analyses into recommendations * Able to provide official transcript and pass a pre-employment drug test

    • Available to work 2-3 days per week in Long Island City, NY * Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located * Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test Preferred Experience and Qualifications * Passion for aviation with basic knowledge of airline/aircraft finance * VBA/Access skills * Managing multiple projects and working well under pressure * Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively * Organized with the ability to multi-task * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * A self-starter with the ability to prioritize assignments Crewmember Expectations: * Regular attendance and punctuality * Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice * Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance * When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft * Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun * Promote JetBlues #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlues Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards * Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlues confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)) Equipment: * Computer and other office equipment Work Environment: * Normal Office Environment Physical Effort: * Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently.
