Equipment Technician/Gas Chill - Tyler, TX Job ID #: 18174 Location: TX-TYLER Functional Area: Misc./Trades Position Type: Full Time Experience Required: 3 - 5 Years Relocation Provided: No Education Required: High School Diploma RC/Department: 5923 -KM TREATING GAS CHILL OPS :KMPL Position Description Install, repair and assemble mechanical refrigeration units (MRU) and related equipment used to process natural gas. Troubleshoot, identify and repair refrigeration and gas processing problems in the field. Solder (sweat) copper lines and charge refrigeration circuits. Diagnose, repair and install electrical components. Operate, install and repair natural gas valving and regulating systems and liquid processing equipment. Observe all Environmental Health and Safety regulations, Operating and Maintenance Procedures and Company Policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of Mechanical, A/C, Refrigeration and Electrical systems. 3-5 years A/C - Refrigeration experience. Must have EPA Certification/Universal (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F). Must have a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to company's insurer. Must effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document and complete work with minimum supervision. Must effectively communicate with supervisors, team members and customers in writing, verbally and via email. Must be willing to work overtime with little notice, likely including Holidays and weekends. Must have the ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors and customers, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules. Must be willing to respond to and address call outs and emergencies after regular business hours, including after dark, which will require carrying a cell phone. Must possess basic computer skills, including MS Office and Operating Systems. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be willing to work in shop, indoor, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions. Must be willing to travel on a Regional and National basis with travel possibly as much as 60%. Must be able to master the repair, operations and assembly of all systems of the Gas Chill MRU and related equipment.
