  • Responsibilities

    BASIC FUNCTION

    To adjust and operate computer numerically controlled machines that perform multiple machining operations such as boring, turning, facing, milling, grooving, drilling, spot facing, reaming, tapping and burnishing. Required adjusting offsets and performing program editing. Adjusts and operates auxiliary equipment.

    Parts must be made to print and process specifications.

    Responsible for own set-ups and for inspecting own parts.

    Responsible for following safety rules, producing quality workmanship, and for good housekeeping in and around the work area.

    Completion of all associated paperwork and record keeping as required.

     

    EDUCATION/TRADE KNOWLEDGE

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge is required.

    Knowledge in machine shop practices and the use of respective inspection instruments used in inspecting own parts.

    Additional required courses include: CNC progressional training or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.

     

    EXPERIENCE

    A combination of over 36 months experience is required to meet all quality and quantity performance standards.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English. 
    • Basic knowledge of computer systems required. Warehouse Management Systems experience helpful.
    • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge preferred.
    • The ability to perform functions with minimal direction with emphasis on safety. 
    • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with great attention to detail. 
    • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. 
    • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace and shift priorities easily.
