    DEPARTMENT: Human Resources LOCATION: Lake Oswego, Oregon  PAY: $17/hr BENEFITS: Health/Dental/Vision + 401(k) + Life + LTD Insurance  HOURS: Full-time, Monday – Friday 

     

    JOB IN A NUTSHELL: 

    As the HR Clerk, your primary responsibility will entail the set-up and on-boarding of new employees. This will include adding them to our internal HR systems, updating personnel files, and ensuring that employees have a positive and compliant on-boarding experience. In addition to this, you will be helping support the HR Team with projects, answering employee HR questions and concerns, processing out-of-office requests, and maintaining resources that support HR functions. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, and outgoing individual who is comfortable speaking in front of an audience and enjoys getting employees excited about starting a new job. If you are enthusiastic about Human Resources, love problem-solving and understand the basics of employer compliance, we would love to hear from you! 

     

    WHAT YOU'LL LOVE DOING:

    • Providing support to the HR department to complete projects and clerical work; assist Payroll with attendance processes when additional coverage is required
    • Reviewing out-of-office requests and determine whether additional information is required to enable managers to make approval decisions based on time off balances and team needs
    • Leading new hire orientation and complete new hire processes in HR systems; update personnel files, spreadsheets and other sources to ensure all information is up to date
    • Completing updates to employee information and run audits to ensure all HR systems are consistent and up to date
    • Assisting in monitoring the HR inbox to answer employee’s HR-related questions and concerns
    • Overseeing I-9 maintenance for all offices to ensure compliance with employment regulations

    TO FIT THE BILL:

    • Associates degree or higher preferred
    • Basic understanding of HR best practices
    • Comfortable speaking in front of an audience
    • Ability to understand and explain basic policy-related information to employees
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Upbeat, friendly demeanor
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Proven ability to work independently and in a timely manner

    TO SCORE EXTRA POINTS:

    • Degree in HR or related field
    • Experience working in Paycom
