Software Engineer InternJob Locations US-CA-GoletaCategory Internship Overview Our Internship program is an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field to gain production environment work experience. Internship projects vary in size and scope depending on each Development group. Common duties include using test driven infrastructure methodologies and automation to perform developing, testing, and troubleshooting infrastructure components for supporting existing or new products SaaS products. The role works within a team of Operations and Site Reliability engineers on problems of limited scope and complexity which are structured to develop knowledge and experience. Interns will follow established practices and procedures to achieve overall program performance, schedule and quality standards. Responsibilities Under general guidance, performs technical work requiring application of basic software development methodologies to complete assignments to required standards of quality and timeliness.participates in discussions regarding project approach and planning.Implements designs with some guidance and supervision.Applies the companys software engineering processes and standards.Establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work.Communicates technical issues within scope of assignment.Engages in continuous learning both on the job and through technical training in order to expand and enhance technical expertise and competency and keep pace with technology advancements. Qualifications Collaborate with Infrastructure engineers through the entire software development lifecycle to solve complex Infrastructure engineering problems in tools.Develop advanced automated Infrastructure frameworks.Conduct research on emerging technologies. (e.g. VR & chatbots)You can think on your feet, are passionate about your work, have an extremely high sense of accountability, and love a huge challenge.Experience in building frameworks that can improve system availability.Experience with proving the value of new algorithms that improve product's capabilities, speed, efficiency and reliability.
