As the intricate and most visible representative of MSG Aviation travel planning process, Flight Dispatchers must consistently act with tact and decorum while ensuring an efficient and safe operation. The Flight Dispatcher is the main conduit through which almost all travel plans, details, questions, and problems flow. Specific Functions/Activities Summary W o rks within MSG Aviation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer T a kes company travel requests and formulates a basic travel plan. Identifies operating efficiency enhancements such as optimized routings, combination of trips, and reduction in deadhead legs. Knowledgeable of aircraft performance and operating limitations. Identifies potential travel problems and makes recommendations for resolution. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interfaces with Executive Administrators during all phases of h. Coordinates any special travel requests and needs of customer. Communicates with flight crews during the planning process and during trip execution. Maintains the highest levels of personal integrity, honesty, and professionalism. Is committed to continuous personal growth and professional development. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications · Minimum 3 years of experience in a flight department or travel related business. · Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and perform assigned duties with minimal supervision. · Ability to initiate projects, work independently, multiple task, and meet deadlines. · Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and changes in shift depending on the needs of the operation. · Knowledge of aviation weather, aircraft performance, and FAA · regulatory requirements and terminology is required. · Proven ability to maintain confidentiality. · Aviation Dispatchers license is desired. · Associate Degree or the equivalent experience · Excellent communication and writing skills · Familiarity with Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Flight scheduling software i.e. FOS or similar · Behavior consistent with MSG values Education Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
