Job Description
The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring candidates for all Maersk vacancies. This position will be responsible for ensuring all open positions are posted and filled within an appropriate time frame. This position will also be responsible for meeting with departmental leaders to evaluate staffing needs and requirements.
- Processes job requisitions.
- Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
- Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
- Screens and interviews applicants.
- Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
- Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
- Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
- Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
- Completes weekly report on employment activity.
- Other departmental duties as assigned by Executive Director of HR
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Duties of this job may require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 2 years in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition or related field
- Computer Experience including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- HRIS administration experience, preferably Paylocity
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- SHRM-CP or PHR Certification
