Responsibilities: The Chemistry Lab intern/co-op will work in the RAD department at our Catlettsburg, KY location which provides analytical, research, process optimization, and environmental support to various business units throughout Marathon Petroleum Corporation and its affiliates. The intern will support these activities through special project work, day-to-day laboratory and field activities, and exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and methodologies (i.e. gas chromatography, wet chemistry, x-ray, etc.). The special project work may meet the students capstone requirement. Qualifications: -Desired majors are as follows: Science or math related major required; Chemistry major preferred (undergraduate or graduate studies) -Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required -Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future. -Positions are available spring, summer, and fall semesters. -A valid driver's license is required. -Travel unlikely for most intern positions.
