    PAID INTERNSHIP: Accelerator Administrator Michelson Found Animals - Los Angeles, CA Internship Organization Overview: The Michelson Found Animals Foundation is a cutting edge non-profit organization managed by savvy business and science professionals focused on social entrepreneurship. We are a well-funded startup organization that takes pride in bringing together great minds from diverse backgrounds in our mission to reduce shelter euthanasia in Los Angeles. Very recently, Mars Petcare, global leader in pet nutrition and health care; Michelson Found Animals Foundation; and R/GA Ventures announced the launch of the Leap Venture Studio (Leap): the first startup-centric accelerator program built to springboard innovation in the growing pet ecosystem. Leap will be targeting early-stage startups and offering access to strategic, financial, and creative resources to accelerate product development, develop industry partnerships, and refine business plans. Startups in the program will work closely with mentors from R/GA, Mars Petcare, Michelson Found Animals and their extended networks. Internship Program Overview: Under general supervision of the Executive Director, as the Accelerator Associate you will help to coordinate Michelson Found Animals participation in the Leap Venture Studio. We are seeking a versatile and entrepreneurial intern who is able to handle multiple ongoing projects and meet deadlines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work directly with Executive Director to coordinate Michelson Found Animals participation in the Leap Venture Studio Organize meetings and other logistics Marketing and business development tasks to support the first cohort of Leap startups Stay on top of news and cutting-edge pet related topics and issues that are of interest to the Leap partners Follow up on contacts and support cultivations of relationships with partners within Leap Venture Studio Research various topics Gather and analyzing data Requirements: Be available forat least 20 hours per week from June through August Must be able to work out of our offices located in Los Angeles adjacent to North/East Culver City and occasionally other Los Angeles locations Must be authorized to work in the US MBA or are currently pursuing MBA Passionate about pets Excellent research and written communication skills Strong writing/editing skills; proficient document preparation, e.g. drafting and preparing documents, reports, presentations, letters, briefs and informational packets Strong knowledge of G-suite products Self-starter, well-organized, and able to work independently Must be responsive, pro-active, enthusiastic, and adaptable Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction but high expectations Prior startup, strategy consulting, finance, early stage investing, or equivalent experience Interest in nonprofit administration Entrepreneurial spirit Length of Internship: 8-12 weeks (based on availability) Required to be available at least 20 hours per week from June through August 8 hours ago - save job - original job
