    Warehouse Specialist I - Administration Location: Gardena, CA - LAX Position #: 1258 Description Job Summary Moves inventory, sorts and verifies freight. Assists Supervisor/Manager in planning and coordinating daily warehouse activities. Assists with inventory control, processes, quality assurance, and customer service. Demonstrates sound customer service and data entry skills to support growth within current position. Duties and Responsibilities Ensures regulatory requirements are met, and proper documentation, including transit documents exists for shipments. Ensures documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, forwarders, customers and agents in a timely manner. Completes accurate billing to clients based on established pricing, while ensuring accurate costs and profits are maintained. Oversees the pick-up and transfer of shipments with appropriate partners. Enters transportation data from a regulatory and tracking perspective. Verifies product count, assures no existing damage, completes required paperwork, utilizes the required Warehouse Management System. Assures inventory accuracy and adheres to customer quality programs, including specialized MIQ accounts that require absolute control of loading material receipts. Must be able to identify and escalate problems or questions. Helps complete cycle counts and KPI reports on a weekly basis. Completes all records and reports in a timely and efficient manner. Assists supervisor/manager on special customer requests and investigation of customer complaints to ensure they are properly handled and resolved. Resolves problems when receiving/shipping issues arise. Maintains safety standards and warehouse cleanliness. Assists manager with semi-annual customer inventory. Completes monthly inventory of all supplies. Handles day to day shipping and receiving tasks. Completes activities and job duties according to the supervisors or managers instructions. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent 2-5 years relevant work experience, preferably in warehouse and/ international transportation logistics. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience in spreadsheets and databases (Excel and Word) applications preferred Ability to work overtime hours when needed Preferred Qualifications: RF/WMS experience. Bachelors Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics. Dangerous Goods Certification. Knowledge of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations as they relate to primary services provided (i.e. Customs, security, other import and export government agencies that regulate). CargoWise experience.
