Job Description

Optimizely is seeking an experienced and driven Corporate Controller to help us lead our global accounting team. You will report to our SVP, Finance. The ideal candidate for this role has 10+ years of accounting experience with Big 4 audit experience and at least 3 years running a corporate accounting team.  We are looking for a motivated team player with a high attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information and communicate in a simplified, concise manner.

DESCRIPTION

• Provide leadership, support and development to a 13-15 person global accounting team.

• Ownership of financial close and reporting cycles ensuring accurateness and timeliness.

• Oversight of all technical accounting interpretations and related documentation.

• Ensure global compliance with all financial, tax and other required regulatory filings.

• Manage relationships with auditors and outside technical advisors.

• Responsible for end-to-end systems data flows and design and documentation of related controls environments.

• Be a trusted advisor to the CFO and SVP Finance; proactively collaborate, influence, and align the company’s accounting policies with the overall company strategy.

• Partner with multiple internal  organizations to drive process and systematic improvements including data collection and reporting streams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of combined accounting experience including Bi4 4 assurance experience and at least 3 years running a corporate accounting team.
• Experience in both public and private company environments
• Proven record of mentoring and developing teams
• Manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Prior experience in a high tech/software/SaaS
• Practical experience adopting ASC606 standard
• Work at our San Francisco Headquarters
