More information about this job Job Description SUMMARY A brief description summarizing the overall purpose and objectives of the position and the results the worker is expected to accomplish.   The Human Resources Intern works as part of a team and performs individual tasks to lead or support research and analysis on a number of HR initiatives.  Project involvement includes: analyzing exit surveys, updating job description library, and analyzing New Hire feedback.  This position offers an opportunity for a well-rounded participative learning experience within the HR function in a corporate setting.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position that are most important to get the job done. Support various projects within the HR Department including exit surveys, 30 day meetings and job description library; Coordinate special employee engagement projects, i.e., wellness; Collect and analyze new hire feedback; Collect and analyze exit survey data; Actively participate in regular departmental meetings; Occasional set up department  meetings and events; Assist with the PDC Energy internship program; Updates company organization charts; Perform routine administrative tasks as needed and directed by HR Staff. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES The specific minimum competencies required for job performance. Ability to bring energy and self-motivation to the performance of tasks; Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite software packages and the aptitude to learn new software; Experience with typical office machinery preferred; Self-starter with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects; Strong work ethic, positive, professional demeanor with the ability to work well with others; Willingness to learn and ask questions; Skill to perform work accurately and thoroughly with devotion to detail; Ability to handle confidential information; Apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations; Ability to show consideration for and maintain good working relationships. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The scope of the persons authority, including a list of jobs that report to the incumbent.   There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. WORKING CONDITIONS The environment in which the job is performed, especially any unique conditions outside a normal office environment.   Consistent with that of a normal office environment.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The minimum level of education, experience, and certifications required to perform the job. Enrollment in college/university majoring in a Human Resources related program; Juniors, Seniors and graduate students preferred; Ability to work full time over the summer; Strong interest in human resources function.
