Responsibilities Reporting to the Service Supervisor performs administrative and clerical duties in support of the departments equipment service function and coordinates the departments scheduled service activities.Gather information regarding the vehicle complaint, customer contact, and necessary information to generate a repair order and open work order.Work with the shop lead / foreman to schedule diagnostic time to determine the cause of the problem. Provide daily updates to the customer on the status of the vehicle.Collect coverage information to help determine who will be responsible for payment of services rendered.Develop cost estimate for corrective actions based on diagnostic and inspection results.Maintain customer, shop and parts communications in the CDK service system.Monitor shop progress on repairs for estimate compliance.Review repair invoice for professional explanation and accuracy to the customer.Work closely with the credit department to ensure accuracy of all customer accounts.Performs cashier responsibilities; manage and collect on all cash on delivery (C.O.D.) accounts.Provides other clerical and administrative support to as may be needed, types letters, job quotes, purchase orders and other related documents; makes appointments and maintains schedules; makes copies and uses FAX, mail system, or otherwise distributes work related materials both inside and outside of company. Qualifications Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
