Dispatcher (Various/Flexible Shifts) QCS Logistics 4 reviews - Saint Rose, LA 70087 Part-time Dispatcher (Flexible Shifts) QCS Logistics is looking for an experienced Dispatcher who is available to work flexible hours/shifts and provide logistical support to clients and couriers for the orderly processing of delivery requests as well as provide administrative & technical support for the companys operation. * Dispatch Experience a MUST (minimum 1 year). * Two (2) years of Logistics/Transportation industry experience * A high school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred * An in-depth knowledge of the metro New Orleans and surrounding parishes * An ability to verbally describe locations and directions to couriers via radio * Excellent people and leadership skills * Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment * Ability to dispatch and monitor on-demand and routed requests to insure a comprehensive understanding of client specifications & pickup/delivery requirements * Post recurring orders/routes on a daily basis for the next day activities * Dispatch early morning orders for next day (orders needing pickup/delivery prior to 8:30 AM) * Service incoming customer calls & driver calls * Assist with customer service issues related to the online ordering system, experience in tracking routes and drivers * Track orders/packages for clients * Place orders in the CXT system * Monitor on time performance report on a daily basis to ensure 95% minimum on time deliver performance & 85% pickup performance * Perform as a back up driver * Assist in monitoring all external dispatch boards * Assist in training new drivers * Additional duties may be required Due to the unpredictable & time sensitive nature of the courier industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules/shifts in order to meet the needs of our clients.
