POSITION PURPOSE Ensures that minimum/maximum levels are set appropriately to optimize service levels and minimize costs.nbsp; Confirms materials availability for routine and non-routine planned maintenance items.nbsp; Develops and executes supply chain strategies aimed at optimizing inventory and alternatives to ownership.nbsp; ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.nbsp; Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.nbsp; * Monitors inventory and demand trends, reliability, turn-around-time, system departure activity and other inputs to accurately set minimum/maximum.nbsp; * Establishes, reviews and adjusts minimum/maximum levels on regular intervals that support maintenance operations at the least total cost. * Performs on-going provisioning for active fleets.nbsp; * Reviews provisioning recommendations to ensure adequate physical spares inventory to meet operational requirements. * Reviews and analyzes Beyond Economic Repair (BER) activity to ensure timely replacement.nbsp; Prepares Economic justification (EJ) for procurement of repairable/rotable spares requirements. * Forecasts inventory requirements based on input from Engineering and Maintenance. * Analyzes demand, scheduled tasks and other inputs to establish system allocation (minimum/maximum) levels that support operations at the least total cost while insuring optimal productivity of inventory. * Works with suppliers, purchasing and maintenance planning to coordinate allocation and disbursement of seed units and service bulletin kits in support of on-going modification campaigns. nbsp; * Ensures seed units and unused modification kits are returned to the supplier, as necessary. * Partners with stakeholders to obtain accurate information and analysis validation. * Models inventory requirements that support planned and unplanned maintenance activities for expendable, consumable, shop supply, repairable and/or rotable part categories. * Coordinates with Warranty/Repair expeditor to request material to be expedited from repair when current available levels are not sufficient to adequately stock bases per established minimum/maximum levels. * Analyzes and assigns material requisitions to the appropriate group for action. * Provides technical guidance to team and department members.nbsp; * Leads through example; monitors, influences and trains others. * Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE. * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Requires at least 1 year of experience in aviation industry. PRFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Aviation or related area.nbsp; * Prefer at least 3 years of supply chain experience in aviation industry. LANGUAGE SKILLS * Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and nbsp;governmental regulations.nbsp; * Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. * Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY * Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
