Experience : 0 Description : SEPTA is seeking experienced Millwrights in our City Division and Railroad Divisions. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of motors and controls on equipment such as escalators, elevators, air compressors, pumps, cranes, vehicle washers, hoists, overhead doors, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, steam cleaners, ejectors etc. The Millwright will locate trouble in electro-mechanical equipment and make complex mechanical and electrical repairs as necessary to maintain safe and proper operation of equipment.Job Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have valid driver's license. Must be experienced with at least on year proven work experience in the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of AC and DC industrial equipment and controls, mechanical and electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment & controls- High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical school a plus.Selected applicants must also pass a written qualifying test to be administered at a future date.Starting salary in our City Division is $28.60/hour with an increase to $31.77/hour after one year.
