    Job Description

    You’ll be working on aircraft programs like:

    • 787
    • 737
    • 777
    • Defense projects

    You will build and assemble aircraft parts and systems , making sure everything fits, works properly, and meets quality standards.

    Core Responsibilities

    1. Follow Instructions

    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
    • Use written, verbal, and electronic information to complete tasks

    2. Measure and Test

    • Use shop math and precision tools (calipers, gauges, test equipment)
    • Verify dimensions and ensure proper functionality of parts and assemblie

    3.Assembly Work

    • Assemble components into sub-assemblies or final assemblies
    • Install, seal, and fit parts according to specifications

    4.Quality Control

    • Ensure all work meets engineering and process requirements
    • Identify and report any defects or discrepancies

    5.Tool and Equipment Use

    • Operate tools and equipment required for assembly
    • Ensure tools and equipment are properly certified and maintained

    6.Basic Maintenance

    • Perform minor machine maintenance, such as:
    • Replacing filters
    • Maintaining fluid levels
    • Changing bulbs

    7. Material Handling

    • Move parts within the work area using assigned equipment
    • Complete required transactions to move products to the next operation

    8. Productivity

    • Complete work within assigned schedules and timelines
    • Team Support and Training
    • Assist in training other employees on assembly and inspection techniques
    • Support team members across different skill levels
    • Cross-train in inspection and work toward SIA qualification:

    9. Machine Operation

    • Set up and operate:
    • CNC machines (basic level)
    • Fastening equipment
    • Perform tasks such as drilling and fastenin

    Specialized Skills

    • May include experience in one or more of the following:
    • Structural assembly and installation
    • Sealing, including fuel cell sealing
    • Sub-assembly work
    • Door installation
    • Precision bench assembly
    • Pressure and vacuum testing
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Training will occur on 1st shift, but then need to be available for any shift as many will go to 2nd shift after certification.
    • They will be working overtime.
    • This is rework and you must have Fillet Seal and Electrical Bond Experience.
    • +5 years of experience as aircraft structures technician
