    Summit Expedited Logistics is hiring for a CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT who is looking to grow a career in a fun & high growth third-party logistics provider!  

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Summit Expedited Logistics is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual with a growth mindset to work for one of the most preeminent and evolving global logistics providers in the industry. In this role you will consult with customers on logistics solutions from domestic to international, while establishing new relationships and fostering existing customer accounts all while assessing customers’ needs and translating them into results oriented solutions.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY:

    • Serve as a liaison between the sales team and customers to enhance the customer experience
    • Responsible for reviewing customer shipment queries and takes immediate action to correct or solve issues that may occur
    • Participates in enhancing operational procedures to increase efficiency and reduce departmental errors to better serve the external customer
    • Engages in cross-functional collaboration to ensure proper service is being delivered
    • Maintains communications with all parties involved in the lifecycle of a shipment to ensure timeliness and accuracy of data entry and performance reports
    • Track and trace shipments as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery. Additionally, update shipments with current status to include comprehensive notes
    • Troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions
    • Maintain familiarity with conditions that require special services and ensure accurate data entry of these costs
    • Answer departmental phone calls and emails
    • All other duties as assigned

    Scheduled Hours are will be the following: Monday through Friday - 5am to 1pm OR Monday through Friday - 12pm to 9pm

    OTHER SKILLS WE HOPE TO SEE:

    • High School/GED, required
    • Associates Degree, preferred 
    • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in the logistics industry, strongly preferred
    • Freight forwarding experience a plus!
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Strong problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • High attention to details and accuracy
    • Ability work and adapt in a high volume, fast paced work environment
