Position Overview: The Social Support Intern will help monitor audience interactions across TechSmiths social media channels and other relevant online community groups. This position will support customers by providing high quality customer service and technical support by responding to questions and concerns, interacting with their comments, and providing helpful responses across a variety of TechSmith brand pages and social platforms. This role will also include an element of content creation for digital channels, such as writing copy for social media posts, blog posts, customer stories, and repurposing content for digital channels as assigned. You will help ensure that the content TechSmith creates and shares is high quality, interesting, original, on brand, and appealing for appropriate target audiences across our social platforms. Responsibilities: * Learn how to use project management software and other tools to complete recurring tasks, assignments, meet project due dates, and coordinate work with other team members * Learn various tools and platforms involved in this role, such as Sprout, Bambu, WordPress, and YouTube * Monitor social media channels and interact with TechSmiths audience by answering customer-service related questions, offering helpful instructional content, categorizing incoming feedback, and forwarding/tasking inbound messages internally. * Learn and follow TechSmith brand guidelines to ensure all content uses a consistent tone and voice * Proactively visit a list of provided influencer contacts and organizations social media pages to retweet, share, like, and comment on their content * Research and review articles for publishing on social media platforms, noting relevant takeaways and writing accompanying post text * Help identify new influencers within TechSmiths target audiences * Actively participate in content marketing and social strategy brainstorming meetings * Other duties and projects as assigned Required Skills and Background: * Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and in a fast-paced environment * Self-motivated individual who is able to demonstrate ability to take projects from ideation to completion * Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously * Customer service experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Requires at least 15 hours per week, maximum of 28 hours per week * You must be legally authorized to work in the United States * You must be enrolled full-time in classes in order to be considered for an internship with TechSmith Corporation Compensation and Perks: Competitive pay based on skills and experience. This is an hourly position with TechSmith Corporation. Hours are based on a consensus between you and your supervisor. We require a minimum of 15 hours per week, however hours are limited to 28 hours per week.
