The Uber Metal (uMetal) organization builds and manages the compute, storage and network infrastructure that supports Ubers workloads globally. Within uMetal, Business Operations serves many functions ranging from Technical Program Management to Business Operations and Business Applications. What You'll Do / What You'll Need / Bonus Points / About the Team What Youll Do The ideal candidate for this role will be an innovative self-starter. You will work within the Business Office to support ServiceNow from a product direction, support and light configuration perspective. You will help drive maturity with adoption and organizational change management. You will be the go to person in regards to metrics and how to functionality of the platform. Additionally will help define and document the future of Ubers use of the platform. Additionally you will be tasked with working with various teams to ensure we understand the voice of our stakeholders. What Youll Need BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering field. 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience. Solid background in the ServiceNow platform and understanding of Agile development practices. Passion about system architecture and building distributed systems at hyper scale. Prior experience with the ServiceNow platform ranging from administration, and workflows to configuration. Experience supporting development projects with service oriented systems, and REST APIs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write detailed design documents. You have a knack for helping the team grow by inspiring and mentoring less experienced engineers.
