Network Operations overview The Network Operations department helps us run a safe, reliable airline, and includes careers in aircraft routing and dispatching, crew scheduling, air traffic control and more. Job overview and responsibilities * Long Tarmac Delay research and reporting * Assist in preparations and action items as part of Bi-weekly Network Review * Compilation and distribution of daily operational reports * Data analysis and reporting to support ongoing operational efficiency efforts * Assist ND/MDO on duty during IRROPS as directed * Organize, schedule, and occasionally lead tours of the NOC * Other duties as assigned by NOC leadership Required * Must currently be enrolled in or recently graduated from an Aviation/Aeronautical, Air Traffic, Aviation/Airport Management, and/or closely related degree program * Must be classified as a junior or higher at the time the internship begins * Summer internships occur August - November * Interns must work onsite in Chicago for duration of internship * Intern is responsible for all living and transportation to/from work expenses. If selected candidate lives more than 50 miles from workplace, a small sign-on bonus is offered to assist with moving. If needed, United will provide air transportation to/from internship location. * Must be willing to travel for company business if necessary
