and implement training scheduling plans to support the overall staffing
plan in the most cost effective manner optimizing both instructor pilot
and simulator resources. Responsibilities * Responsible for developing,
coordinating and implementing the training scheduling plan for pilots,
utilizing simulators, and pilot instructors in the most cost effective
manner * Continue to monitor the training plan when implemented * React
to deviations to the plan and developing cost effective alternatives *
Develop long and short-term contract training plans to maximize revenue
- Coordinate the scheduling of recurrent training requirements for
pilots * Schedule initial operating experience, ensuring resources are
utilized efficiently with limit impact to the line operations *
Coordinate the scheduling of all line checks ensuring compliance with
the FARs * Interact with Manpower Planning, Fleet Management Teams and
Crew Scheduling, seeking input to the plan and ensuring the plan is
communicated to all responsible parties * Responsible for ensuring
effective communication is maintained will all stakeholders *
Reliability * Ensure pilots and resources are scheduled in an efficient
manner * When deviations occur, develop solutions to help ensure minimal
impact to the line operation * Employee Satisfaction * Ensure pilot
training schedules are developed in compliance with the pilot contract
and FARs * Communicate training plan (and changes to the plan) in a
timely and effective manner * Cost * Ensure the training plan is
developed in a cost effective manner optimizing the use of simulators
and instructors * Ensure revenue opportunities are incorporated into the
plan Education * High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
required. * Bachelor's Degree preferred. Knowledge/Skills * Excellent
computer skills required. * Excellent verbal communication skills
required. * SHARES and Pilot records knowledge preferred. * Microsoft
Office experience preferred. * Knowledge of contractual work rules and
FARs preferred. Experience * 2 years of operations experience required.
- Crew Resources experience preferred. Other * Must be legally
authorized to work in the United States for any employer without
sponsorship. * Regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with
United's policies is required. * Attendance is required at work
