Description: The UPS Airlines Flight Intern Program is sculpted to give selected qualified applicants real-world experience in the daily operation of a leading cargo airline, by a full-submersion into UPSs unique corporate culture. During the yearlong internship, the intern will be engage in challenging work in a dynamic environment that promotes professional career development.Work hours are primarily Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Nights, weekends and extended hours will be required on occasion. Benefits & Compensation: -Wage:UPS offers competitive pay calculated on the credit hours and flight experience completed at the time of hire. Interns will be allowed 2 paid discretionary days per semester, for a total of 6 in a year. -Travel:Interns who qualify under the TSA background check will have the opportunity to use UPS jumpseat privileges for UPS business travel. -401(K) Plan:UPS interns are eligible to participate in the UPS 401(K) Savings Plan. UPS will contribute 50% of up to 6% of eligible pay contributed to the UPS Savings Plan. Opportunities: The UPS Flight internship position is a year long, full-time opportunity. Chief Pilot (ACP) to improve crewmembers engagement during critical times of flight operation -Assist Chief Pilot and ACP with New Hire program -Assist Chief Pilot and ACP With United Way Campaign for all UPS pilots -Assist Chief Pilot and ACP With Global Volunteer Month -Assist Chief Pilot and ACP With Business Development -Assist Chief Pilot and ACP With Pilot Retirements -Assist Chief Pilot and ACP With the Military leave program Basic Qualifications: -Currently hold Commercial/Multi-engine Instrument Pilot License -Junior or Senior in an undergraduate Aviation or Business program, Or -Recent Graduate, up to 2 years post-graduation with 4 year Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Business, Or -Enrolled in a Master Aviation or Business degree program -FAA Part141 flight school training or Part 61 flight school training is acceptable -3.0 GPA or Higher -Be proficient in Microsoft office suite -Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
