    Job Description

    The Vehicle Order Manager plays a key role in the end-to-end ordering process for mule and pilot vehicles. This detail-oriented and proactive position ensures that vehicle orders are accurate, timely, and compliant with program requirements. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the use of multiple internal systems to manage vehicle orders for development and validation purposes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain the ordering process for all mule and pilot vehicles.

    • Collaborate with extended teams to validate and clear order errors prior to plant transmission.

    • Adhere to corporate timing charts to meet key milestone deadlines and prevent build start delays.

    • Publish build matrices and vehicle counts once orders are transmitted to the plant.

    • Open program ordering for vehicle requests in line with corporate timing and validation plans.

    • Support detailed build specification development in partnership with:

      • Vehicle custodians

      • Prototype Build Team

      • Integrated Test Plan Managers

    • Ensure development vehicles are properly spec’d and buildable.

    • Resolve order edit issues and align orders with proper program billing.

    • Escalate late order requests to Pre-Series Team and Program Management for decision and action.

    • Manage financial and program approvals for all pre-series product development vehicle orders.

    • Publish and document pre-series order specifications in accordance with protocols.

    • Track V1 orders for follow-up and fleet forecasting.

    • Monitor and track test vehicle orders from submission through plant status to final destination.

    • Modify transmitted orders as needed (e.g., late STV changes, bulletins, change requests).

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.

    • 0–3 years of experience in vehicle ordering, product development, or fleet operations.

    • Strong data analysis and synthesis capabilities.

    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with vehicle development processes and corporate timing structures.

    • Experience with automotive ordering systems and data tracking tools.
