Job Description
The main purpose of this position is continued customer service functions need to ensure customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and input accuracy during the after hours. Knowledge for this position must encompass every product line our company offers and the employee must be able to demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge to the situation at hand.
Monitor customer freight during the after hours in order to maintain customer on-time expectations. Develop and execute corrective actions plans, coordinate those plans with all parties involved and ensure any necessary communication to day staff is made. Demonstrate operational knowledge of all product types available in the Werner portfolio.
Receive customer load requests via telephone, e-mail, fax machine, and E.D.I., contact and tender loads to Werner Enterprises, VAS designated carriers, customer designated carriers, VAS brokerage, and VAS Intermodal. Monitor changes in load status. Manage outside carriers and coordinate customer loads between Werner and partner carriers.
Manage carrier On-Time Service levels in order to meet customer needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
