JOB SUMMARY

The Collections Specialist will collect past due balances on assigned accounts while building lasting relationships with our account base and internal staff, with the goal of minimizing Days Sales Outstanding and delinquent invoices.  This role will be proactive in the approach they use and develop further relationships with our internal and external customer bases.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.

• Perform advanced collections activities on invoices and deductions for accounts.

    •  Continue to build internal and external relationships.

    •  Effectively communicate with the more challenging AP contacts, customer senior management and business owners to continually minimize past due items.

    •  Assist more junior team members with taking actions to obtain payments while maintaining a productive and mutually satisfactory relationship with customers.

    •  Resolve more challenging disputed items with customer thru research of all available info and communicate findings and work on special projects as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate.

• Collection experience, preferred.
