JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee, supervise, assist, and manage the operations and functions of the terminal. This includes all personnel located at the terminal and any drivers that are assigned to this specific area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.
• Troubleshoot and handle driver problems and concerns such as: accident reviews, log violations, equipment problems, personality conflicts with Operations and Safety Departments, etc., by using good management and decision-making skills.
• Supervise office and maintenance staff by assigning daily work loads, handling employee problems and discipline, and making administrative decisions on unique exceptions.
• Communicate and work with all department heads or the persons that are designated, to ensure all policies and procedures are followed at the terminal level.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years transportation experience preferred.
• Three to five years supervisory experience preferred.
• One to two years driver relations experience preferred.
• Possess and maintain, or the ability to acquire and maintain, a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (C.D.L) with required endorsements. At the time of hire or promotion, if the individual does not possess a current CDL, one must be obtained within 120 days.
