    • Building new customer relationships and expanding current ones
    • Assessing customer needs

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Identify, create and close new sales opportunities by prospecting and cold calling within assigned region.
    • Manage and grow current customers by introducing additional Werner service offerings
    • Work with engineering and operations teams to create proposals for prospects and customers
    • Complete all aspects of the customer interface including the negotiation of pricing and transportation agreements and accounts receivable management
    • Facilitate operational on boarding of new business to ensure complete understanding of customer expectations
    • Team sell with Werner Sales Product specialists when warranted
    • Keep up to date with skills and knowledge of all Werner services capabilities
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Management, or Transportation/Logistics, or equivalent experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Two plus years of sales experience in Transportation
    • Three to four years transportation experience required
