Our client is Wine Warehouse of California. They are a highly stable and well respected 50+ year old wine & spirits distributor. They specialize in high end brands, and use us to fill some of their field Merchandising roles. We are Management Performance Associates, a 25-year old National Staffing Agency based in Newport Beach, CA. Wine Warehouse is seeking a 40 hour a week merchandiser, 5 days a week to cover a 15 to 25 mile radius around the location listed in this posting. This is a full-time job with assigned accounts (primarily chain grocery, drug and specialty wine stores). The hourly rate is $20.00 plus .625 cents per mile. Merchandisers are paid every Friday for all hours and miles driven during the previous week. Merchandisers have their choice of a Direct Deposit or a payroll debit card. Merchandising candidates may choose to work work from 8:30 AM to 4 PM each Tuesday through Saturday; OR 8:30 AM to 4 PM each each Monday through Friday. Merchandisers use their own personal vehicles; however all products and point of sale are already at each store when our Merchandisers arrive. Primary job responsibilities include restocking store shelves and cold boxes with our client's products along with organizing and general servicing of our client's beer, wine and spirits brands within each store. Full training will be provided. Prior sales or merchandising experience is desired but not mandatory. Desired Background/Skills: - Good interpersonal, time management and communication skills - Ability to work under minimum supervision to merchandise product and service retail accounts - Minimum high school diploma or college degree in progress - Must possess a valid Driver's License - Must be at least 21 years of age or older Dress Requirements: In this role you will be a Representative of our client. Merchandisers should be neat, clean and well groomed. The preferred dress is dark pants or jeans with a polo shirt or any other type of collared shirt and comfortable shoes. Open toed shoes are not allowed for safety reasons. Physical Requirements: Repetitive bending, kneeling and stooping. Candidates must be capable of lifting cases of beer, wine or spirits (which can weigh up to 40 pounds each) multiple times per day.
