Job Description
Wish is looking for a Revenue Accountant who will be a key contributor in the monthly and quarterly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely results are delivered to management. This individual will be part of a growing accounting and finance team, and will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a growth and success-oriented environment. This position will report directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Prepare journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, assist with flux analyses, and contribute to the financial reporting process.
Develop and document processes, and identify opportunities for streamlining processes.
Assist with increasing automation to improve the speed and efficiency of the monthly revenue close.
Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Data Analytics, FP&A and Legal to obtain the relevant revenue-related information and to improve processes and reporting capabilities.
Contribute to revenue reporting analyses presented to the CFO on a monthly basis.
Support Wish's external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
Assist with and manage various ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
BA/BS/Master's in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, revenue experience a plus.
Solid understanding of US GAAP and concepts relating to cash, revenue, deferred revenue and general accounting principles.
Experience with month-end close cycle is required.
Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or other ERP system is preferred.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on exceptional excel knowledge.
Ability to manipulate large datasets required.
Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment and a collaborative spirit.
Excellent research & analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, the ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks.
Demonstrates high degree of accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
E-commerce and/or startup experience is a plus.
