The Post Purchase Engineering team offers a rare opportunity to work on key company initiatives from Order Management Systems, the Review System, a Customer Support Chatbot, Return and Refund Systems, Customer Support tooling, and more. You will enjoy working with one of the richest social e-commerce data sets in the world. Our engineers move extremely fast, while solving unusual and challenging problems.    We are looking for a passionate and experienced engineer to help drive the architectural decisions of the Order Management System (OMS) and Review System. The Post Purchase team is in the process of rebuilding the OMS and Review Systems due to the ever-increasing scalability and performance requirements of these large and complex systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engineering complex solutions, taking ownership over projects, and building enterprise systems at scale. This role demands a high level of cross functional team communication and deep engineering knowledge. The person should have deep enterprise architectural experience and should be hands-on in backend technologies.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Have a critical role in building and maintaining different customer facing systems related to the post purchase experience. Mainly the OMS and Review System.
• Manage all technical aspects of relationships with different stakeholders and take ownership of implementations
• Help the team grow by hiring great talent on a consistent basis
• Mentor junior engineers in the team and help them to be successful in delivering results
• Work with Product Management, Data Analyst, and Design teams to take projects from inception to completion
• Own tracking and reporting data pipelines for post purchase projects
• Stay on top of team metrics and the dashboard and continuously enhance the system in the process of improving the efficiency of business OKRs and goals
• Help build and keep a strong engineering culture in the company by proactively driving technical discussions and establishing standards with a long-term focus on our systems and services

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of industry programming experience
• Proficient with Python, Golang, or other scripting languages
• Experience in microservices, exposure to SOA in an industry-leading company
• Proficient with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, as well as relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Experience in building APIs as well as single handedly designing large scale systems to support these APIs 
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication and documentation skills
• Self-motivated, relentlessly focused on impact and able to operate under a great deal of independence, able to build features quickly and iterating in a data driven fashion
• Deep passion for improving the design, implementation and maintenance of large scale software systems with millions of users
• Bonus: Experience working on consumer facing applications
• Bonus: Experience with A/B testing
