Job Description

As a DevOps engineer, you are responsible for deploying, maintaining and scaling internal services here at Wish. The systems you deploy are highly available and fault tolerant. When issues occur, you are able to quickly debug and triage the problem. You understand the various ways software can fail and are able to understand resource requirements for different services. You are determined to automate as many manual processes as possible to avoid human error. You are able to evaluate multiple software solutions and utilizing cost benefit analysis figure out the best choice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provision, configure and maintain service infrastructure as code

• Design and build advanced automated build, test and release infrastructure

• Ensure uptime and stability of build, test, monitoring, and deployment systems

• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

• Participate on-call rotation to provide application support, incident management, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. in Computer Science, other related field, or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of Linux systems administration experience

• Minimum 2+ yrs experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or equivalent area.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (k8s)

• Experience designing and building reliable systems at scale

• Development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Golang, Ruby, Java, C/C++, etc)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Experience with Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Deployment systems

• Experience with a configuration management system, e.g Salt, Chef, Ansible, etc.

• Experience with Monitoring, eg Prometheus, Datadog, Graphite, etc.
