Safety precision, and the ability to respond to emergencies are essential elements of this position. Pole setting, pole climbing, stringing line, splicing cable and using machinery to assist the work effort are additional aspects of this challenging job. There are positions available in Dayton, Xenia, Marysville, Sidney and Eaton, Ohio. Job Skills/Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Valid Driver´s License. * Must pass EEI Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) Test. * Must possess or have the ability to acquire a valid CDL. * Successfully complete 3-day climbing simulation. * Willing to work non-standard shifts, respond to emergency calls, and work in all weather conditions. * Must be able to pass government background check. * Previous experience in a related field (construction, underground utility installation, overhead utility installation and maintenance, etc.) is preferred. * Technical training and certification from an Electric Power Line Mechanic or similar program is preferred.
