Apply here to start an extraordinary career today.nbsp; AES Distributed Energy, Inc. is seeking to hire a Summer Intern, Business Development to provide support to the Business Development and Management team which operates and maintains the commercial project development function within AES Distributed Energy. nbsp;The Intern should be accessible, well organized, and comfortable managing different tasks, concepts and challenges.nbsp; About AES Distributed Energy, Inc.: At AES Distributed Energy (DE), we deliver our customers the benefits of sustainable energy powered by resilient, turnkey solutions that we finance, own and operate. nbsp;We bring reliable and cost-effective distributed energy systems to schools, municipalities, utilities, residences, and commercial and industrial clients. nbsp;We currently have over 75 MW of distributed generation solar PV projects in operation across North America, with over 200 MW in development in the Western Hemisphere. nbsp; QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate should be a student pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Finance or related field of study. nbsp;An academic standing of junior status is preferred. nbsp;Additional consideration will be given to candidate possessing the following attributes: nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Experience or demonstrated interest in renewable energy industry nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Strong research and analytical skills nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Outstanding verbal and written communications PRIMARY DUTIES: Intern will work closely with Business Development leadership gathering and reviewing initial project information and assist with due diligence process of solar project evaluation. nbsp;Intern will provide support through development and project acquisition phase. nbsp;Intern will develop high-level technical knowledge and learn how to use solar assessment tools such as SolarGIS and Helioscope. nbsp; SCOPE OF WORK: Market research on solar PV industry in the United States: * nbsp;State and utility level incentives and policy changes * Emerging state markets for commercial and community solar * Company level research for potential new partnerships Requests for Proposals (RFPs): * Research and identify potential RFPs for response * Organize and catalog potential opportunitiesnbsp; *nbsp; Assist in the qualification/completion of competitive bids ACADEMIC CREDIT: If academic credit for the work experience is desired, it is the Interns responsibility to provide appropriate paperwork, interviews and evaluations to the supervisor in a timely manner for completion and verification. nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; COMPENSATION: Paid internship at hourly rate. nbsp; The AES Corporation is a Fortune 200 global power company.
