Duties and Responsibilities: * Support the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization * Machining setup, material procurement * Producing fixturing to aid in the production of machined parts * Works under general supervision following established procedures * Properly maintain equipment and tools in machine shop area * Organizational skills are critical to manage demand for inventory-based Kan Ban system * Ability to adapt to switching between jobs to maximize efficiency and manage workload around available parts. There are on average 70 small machine shop jobs that need to be managed to meet production and customer demand Skills / Equipment: * Lathe and Mill machinery experience * 3+ years of experience * Strong mechanical skills * Ability to read prints and use measuring instruments Educational Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (2+ years duration) a plus.
