    Aclara is looking for a full time Quality Auditor in Mount Vernon, NY (and surrounding areas) to help support field operations management in audits of field staff installations. Audits are conducted in accordance to the client SOW and Aclara safety, process, and quality standards.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Inspect electric and gas installations performed by staff to ensure they meet the specifications provided
    • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently. Document and report quality issues during the installation process to supervisor
    • Attend meetings, communicate regularly with managers and supervisors, attend special trainings, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and communicate safety hazards and issues to supervisors
    • Consistently hit the monthly audit target as established by the Project Manager
    • Follow all Company Safety Program requirements
    • Responsible to report all accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
    • Perform duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow directions identified in the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), PPE Assessment, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • CROSS TRAIN IN OTHER AREAS OF QC; ASSIST OTHER DEPARTMENTS WHEN NECESSARY
    • Assist with new hire and ongoing training of installers
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
    • Assist with new hire and ongoing training of installers

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    Required:

    • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines
    • Experience interacting with customers
    • Must be respectful in all interactions and of all property encountered
    • Must be willing to travel by car between company locations and utility service territory as needed
    • Obtain passing grade on Meter Reading Evaluation
    • Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.

    Preferred:

    Previous electric and/or gas module installation experience

    Experience with using the following tools:

    • Volt Meter
    • Side Cutters
    • Voltage Detector
    • Torque Screwdriver
    • Gas Sniffer

    1+ years' related experience in an inspection environment

    Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook

    PHYSICAL DEMAND:

    • Frequent Standing, walking, stooping and grasping in all types of weather conditions.
    • Occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling and lifting up to 30 lbs.
