Primary Role Interns in this department will support Water Quality/Environmental Compliance Specialist and Manager in various environmental compliance programs. Key Accountabilities Assist in water quality sampling by setting sampling kits, receiving, logging and shipping samples. Compile and help analyze data relating to various environmental compliance programs Assist in research for water quality complaint investigations Help organize functions and activities related to water quality and environmental compliance Assist with field inspections/investigations Handling miscellaneous administrative tasks and duties as needed Knowledge / Skills Some knowledge on federal and state environmental regulations. Strong knowledge on advanced functions in Microsoft Word and Excel General computer literacy and aptitude for online and phone research Professional, responsible, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environment Able to work collaboratively in a team setting and take on leadership assignments when required Able to work in the field to assist with field inspections and investigations Efficient in working on all water quality and environmental compliance projects Punctual, reliable, and highly dependable Must be flexible with a strong willingness to learn Receptive to feedback with a positive attitude Competencies Functional / Technical Skills Learning on the Fly Organizational Agility Problem Solving Time Management Overview Interns will require a commitment of two or more days a week on a flexible schedule.
