Ohio/Kentucky Distribution Operations Summer 2018 Intern; various locations, OH/KY Internships are available within various functions of the Ohio/Kentucky Distribution Operations organization.nbsp; These positions will be located in multiple cities across the Ohio/Kentucky service territory.nbsp; Interns will undertake short-term responsibilities which may involve any or all of the following:nbsp; distribution modeling, infrastructure/project design, optimization analysis, automation device interrogation, CYME study review, work order management, field visits, performance reporting, outage investigations, and other duties assigned in support of Distribution Operations. nbsp; These intern positions are open to students pursuing undergraduate 4-year engineering, or 4- or 2-year engineering technology programs. In addition to working within your discipline, you may be asked to work across a multi-engineering discipline platform. Work locations will be in the greater Cincinnati area, including Northern Kentucky.nbsp; The interns selected will be assigned to a specific location and operational function based on work needs.nbsp; In addition to the Microsoft suite of software, other software applications utilized by electric utilities may be used. Basic Qualifications: * Currently enrolled and pursuing a 4-year engineering, or 4- or 2-year engineering technology degree * Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 * Valid drivers license * Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software nbsp; Desired Qualifications: * Anticipated graduation date of December 2019 or beyond with availability for multiple summer internships while pursuing degree * Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills * Demonstrates ability to provide the quantity and quality of work necessary to reach an accomplishment * Demonstrated leadership qualities through effective decision making * Works effectively with others from diverse backgrounds to achieve common goal * Ability to deliver superior results within allocated time through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning and execution of assigned work * Demonstrates tenacity by remaining persistence in the face of difficulty * Demonstrated technical proficiency in use of computers, software, and engineering applications
