Mechanical Engineer Interns operate within the Research, Development and Engineering group. This position supports all business units of a globally diversified technology/service company, creating a dynamic, challenging, and varied work environment. Challenge yourself to create innovative control and dispensing systems that improve the user experience, safety, and value for our customers. This position will entail a variety of mechanical engineering work with a focus on new product development. You will perform many mechanical and system design activities, including design, analysis, component and system level testing, manufacturing transfer, and post launch support. Main Responsibilities: * Participate in the design and development of new chemical dispensers and control systems * Perform research, design, and test, for product improvement and development of new and launched products * Ensure compliance with design criteria and standards * Test, evaluate and analyze systems to determine or prove performance and reliability * Identify and evaluate technologies to advance the performance and reliability of existing and new products * Work closely with and under the direction of staff engineers Basic Qualifications: * Pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering(Dec 2019 or May 2020 expected graduation date) * Minimum GPA of 3.2 * Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, now or anytime in the future Preferred Qualifications: * Excellent analytical and decision making skills * Experience with mechanical design and analysis tools * Experience developing test procedures and methods, and execution of tests * Effective oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail * Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team while handling multiple tasks or projects * Demonstrated leadership skills Location: * Our Research Center is located in Eagan, MN. * Some events will held at our Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN. * Relocation assistance is available for those meeting requirements.
