The Packaging Engineer Intern operates within the Research and Development Packaging Engineering Group responsible for designing and evaluating packaging for industrial detergents and other cleaning applications. Main Responsibilities: * Assist with package design projects which include injection molding, blow molding, paperboard and corrugated shipping containers. * Work directly with current Ecolab vendors and develop new industry relationships to source and implement new or improved packaging technologies. * Manage creation, approval and release of package component specifications adhering to Ecolab Packaging Engineering policies. * Perform standard packaging test procedures in accordance with ASTM, UN/DOT and ISTA standards. * Communicate cross-functionally within RD&E, as well communicating across corporate functions such as Operations, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. * Coordinate projects as assigned, delivering on aggressive timelines. Basic Qualifications: * Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering * Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, now or anytime in the future Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated project leadership skills * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong communication skills * Ability to work both independently and as a team member * Sound academic training Location: * Our Research Center is located in Eagan, MN. * Some events will held at our Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN. * Relocation assistance is available for those meeting requirements.
