Job Description Purpose Under the general guidance of the R&T ST Shale Oil and Gas (SOG) Function Head, the Intern Process Technologies Engineer is responsible for the completion of a research project supporting ongoing Process/Production research. Potential projects may be related to reduction of process separation, water treatment and reuse or air emissions in the oil and gas industry. The work is to be conducted in a safe, legal, and environmentally/socially responsible and effective manner, and in conformance with established Statoil guidelines, policies, procedures, and applicable governmental regulations. Reporting The Intern Process Technologies Engineer reports to the R&T ST SOG Function Head. Responsibilities and Duties The key responsibilities include: Gain hands-on engineering experience working on a research project which will directly support the ongoing research activities. Work directly with other engineers and professionals in the shale oil and gas research unit and see how people work together at Equinor. Develop your skills under the supervision and guidance of an assigned experienced mentor. Work with your mentor to make a final project presentation. Display and present your project in an end-of-summer poster session. Use the internship program as a gateway to explore job opportunities within Equnor Qualifications Pursuing a MS or PhD in Chemical/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering.
