Job Description Safety & Sustainability Interns interact with a variety of leadership and field personnel to support our efforts of continuous improvement with Health and Safety initiatives. Interns will also provide expertise regarding processes and procedures, verify compliance with internal and external requirements, and assist in the implementation of strategic objectives that drive safety and sustainability performance. Interns will be provided at least one formal mentor (SSU Leader) with significant industry background and experience. The mentor will be selected from a specific area(s) of the business that will best support learning and development. Aside from a formal mentor, we have a Safety & Sustainability culture within our team to regularly support and mentor learning on a daily basis. Our internships occur in field locations. We believe that this experience facilitates the greatest opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on, technical and regulatory Safety & Sustainability expertise. During an internship, our interns will also travel at least once to our Onshore Headquarters in Austin, TX. These trips encourage a better understanding of the corporate environment, the interaction between corporate strategies and field execution, as well as potential opportunities to interact with others in intern-related group activities. Internships focus on deliveries and behaviors to support learning and development of our interns while showcasing and enhancing communication skills and personal values that would be required for a successful transition into long-term success within our organization. Interns are expected to complete specific projects related to their degree curriculum and aligned with current business needs. These projects can include, but may not be limited to, the following Safety Management Emergency Response and Preparedness Industrial Hygiene Major Accident Prevention Risk Management Compliance, Assurance, and Audit Safety Culture Improvement Incident Investigation Incident Data Analysis HSE Performance Management Key Interfaces and Stakeholders include: Safety & Sustainability Team Production, Maintenance, and Midstream Personnel Engineers and Engineering Interns Service Contractors Qualifications Currently enrolled in ABET Accredited Health & Safety Degree Valid Drivers License Ability to travel via airports to various work site locations, meetings and corporate offices.
